In addition to learning all of the traditional things about mountains, rivers, lakes, and deserts as well as countries, languages, cultures, and religions, this geography class will take a hard look at how geography has shaped history and politics. How did natural resources propel colonization?  How do various economic systems inform how we view and treat the world around us? Why is it that resource-rich countries are often economically struggling?  How has humanity brought about climate change? In what ways is the climate shifting and what does that mean for people living in different parts of the world?  

Become an informed global citizen who can understand the complex problems we are facing in the 21st century, advocate for meaningful change and contribute toward the healing and wholeness of our planet.
